Hello, I’m Sarah!

After having a late diagnosis of ADHD I discovered that I am also a proud mum of two ADHDers. As a child my home was full of all kinds of exotic animals and parrots. Looking back on it, I am sure my father, a ‘real life Dr Dolittle’ was neurodiverse, finding it easier to talk to parrots than people!

Despite having had many life experiences, writing remains my most favourite thing to do. My inner child eventually shouted loud enough to see me start writing picture books, combining my degree in Fine Art (Animation) and master’s in Screenwriting. I then joined the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in 2019 and the Society of Authors in 2020.

Sharing stories has always been a passion and picture books are the perfect niche for my writing skills and visual imagination. My debut picture book is “Piff in a Puffle” which I hope will open conversations about ADHD amongst adults and children alike.
